Recruitment Days

The Erasmus Recruitment Days will take place from Wednesday February 3rd until Tuesday February 16th 2010, at the Erasmus University Rotterdam. The preparations of this shared initiative of EFR and STAR have already started.

Activities
The following activities are being organised to get to know the participating companies.

Company presentations
Most of the companies will present themselves during the Erasmus Recruitment Days through a company presentation. These are accessible for every student. During this presentation, the company will tell about their organization structure, organization culture, possibilities for career and application procedure.

Branch drinks
Companies have the opportunity to present themselves by means of a company stand on a branch drink during the Erasmus Recruitment Days. During the social drinks you can meet the recruiters and other employees of the company that are participating in  that day’s drink.

Trainings
To prepare yourself for business life and to develop your personal skills, there will be trainings. During these trainings, different aspects of the application procedure will be discussed.

Workshops
Workshops are an excellent chance to get a first impression of the daily procedure in a company. During these sessions students will be working together in solving a case.

Interviews
An individual conversation is the most personal way to meet the companies. An orientating conversation is a good way to get more information about the companies that seem interesting to you. A selecting conversation is useful when you are looking for an internship or traineeship. Also it is a possibility to look what you and the company can mean for each other. Invitations for a conversation will be made based on your resume.

Informal recruitment
If you prefer getting acquainted with the companies in an informal way, then you should definitely join us for a day of informal recruitment. Examples are high tea, golf and more! You will be able to get a good impression of the company in a playful manner.

Branch and Company Dinners
In the evening there is the possibility to participate in one of the dinners. In an informal and sociable way you meet recruiters of the participating companies. You can choose between two kinds of dinners; company dinner or branch dinner. Students will be selected based on their resume and motivation.

Lunches and social drinks
Every day there is a lunch and at the end of the day a social drink. These are accessible for every participating student of that day. The recruiters of the company that sponsors the lunch or social drink are also here, for you to meet them.


The Erasmus Recruitment Days committee aims to have English be the spoken language in as many activities as possible, so that international students will be able to participate in this event.


Enrolment
You can enrol for the Erasmus Recruitment Days at this website or at our stand located in the C-hall or in the T-building (T3) starting from the 7th of December 2009 till the 8th of January 2010. After this enrolment, enrolment for the activities or companies is possible as soon as you subscribed for the Erasmus Recruitment Days 2010. The companies invite students for a workshop and an individual conversation based on their curriculum vitae. Company presentations are open for all students.

Erasmus Recruitment Days book
All the students who have subscribed for the Erasmus Recruitment Days, will receive an Erasmus Recruitment Days book 2009. In this book all participating companies present themselves by advertisement and a company profile. This book is an excellent way to get to know more about the companies that interest you. Also you can get a clear picture of what the Erasmus Recruitment Days 2010 can offer you.
