About Laurens Schiebroek
My name is Laurens Schiebroek, and will be the next Careers Officer of the EFR. Last year I was chairman of the Euro-Tour, and look forward to another wonderful year at EFR.
I am responsible for EFR's career related events. The
Erasmus Recruitment Days and Erasmus Business Network for instance, are
committees that I manage. I am also responsible for our HRM project
called EFR-Academy, which provides professional trainings for EFR's
active members. EFR provides opportunities for personal development,
something I'm proud to be a part of!
About the Carreer Officer Function
The Career Officer is responsible for the main career activities within the EFR. You are responsible for innovative challenges and therefore this is a unique position.
You are responsible for the biggest on campus recruitment event in the Benelux: the Erasmus Recruitment Days along with a board member of the STAR. You will guide the ERD-committee through an innovative process concluding in the main event. This is a great project with a lot of responsibility. Your management skills will definitely be put up to the test!
The EFR also organises activities for the entrepreneurial student, through the Erasmus Business Network. This is a network for entrepreneurs by entrepreneurs. As supervisor of this committee it will also be your responsibility to make sure there is an entrepreneurial atmosphere within EFR. Surely this responsibility gives you a lot of freedom to be innovative!
With the support of major companies the EFR has realised an internal growth trajectory called the EFR-Academy. During the year various workshops and trainings will take place to help develop the active members of EFR to the best of their capabilities. As head of the EFR-Academy you will have a lot of contact with students as well companies in order to realise the trainings.
CO is the most versatile job around. You will need skills in management, social networks, communication and creativity. Are you a do you love both conceptual as well as practical challenges, are you capable to build and maintain a broad network and are you a strong leader? Do you posses the skills during busy times as managing director of a real company?
