International Officer

About Laura Cramer

My name is Laura Cramer, and I am the International Officer of the 48th EFR-Board.  The past three years I have been busy with all sorts of activities. Besides finishing my bachelor International Business Administration (IBA), I had a lot of fun being an active member of RVSV and AIESEC and went on exchange to Singapore.

Once I returned to the Netherlands I decided to apply for a full-time board position at the EFR. As International Officer I am responsible for internationalisation of the EFR, which implies that I manage a very diverse and dynamic portfolio of activities. Moreover, I will be supervising five great committees. Together with all my dedicated committeemembers I am convinced this year is going to be an entertaining and successful one!

About the International Officer position

Being the International Officer is a very versatile and challenging position. For one year, you will be the international ambassador of the most prominent student organisation of the Netherlands.

Internationalisation is key; both the university and Erasmus School of Economics are becoming more and more international and thus the group of international students is growing. It will be your job to meet their demands. You will do so by supervising five committees, all working to organise (international) activities. The IBEB Start committee is mainly responsible for the organisation of activities for first year IBEB students, whereas the I.AM committee aims at organising activities for the whole international (IBEB) and Economics community. In addition, you will get the chance to supervise the international Model United Nations project and other politic events enabled by the EPIC Committee. Academic Events is responsible for the organisation of the Marketing and Finance Day and all other sorts of study related activities and events. Last but not least, this year a new committee will make a kick start with a new and innovative project abroad! Check our website for updates about this exciting committee and project.

Besides organising activities, you will be in direct contact with the faculty, staff and IBEB students to make sure that all parties are satisfied. In addition, you will have the responsibility to remain in good contact with external international parties, like embassies and prominent speakers.

The International Officer has a lot of room for implementing her/his own ideas. A creative mind can make these ideas come true during one year as an International Officer!
