About Alissa Daurer
My name is Alissa Daurer, and I am Secretary /
Vice-President of the 48th EFR-Board. I still have to finish my International
Bachelor Economics & Business Economics (IBEB). In my first year I joined
the EFR and I have been active in several committees: IBEB-start, EFR-Eurotour,
High-Five. These committees have helped me to personally grow, broaden my
skills and network. Since I know the EFR for quite some time I wondered what it
would be like to be responsible for a study association and what it takes to
keep it successful.
About the Secretary Vice-President position
As
Secretary / Vice-President you are responsible for all formal external
communications such as contact with the EFR members as well as contact with
other study associations. The EFR has contacts with all study associations in
Rotterdam but also all economic associations in the Netherlands. Within the ESE
there are several study associations, to align all interests you will be chairman
of the Convent of Study Associations consisting of AEclipse, EUREOS, FSR, In
Duplo, Marketing Associatie EUR, Transito, VRiSBI and EFR. You will also be chairman
of EIAF (EFR Internal Auditor Fund). This fund is set up to compensate a number
of fulltime active members financially for a part of the time they invest in
the project.
Next
to that, you will be Secretary in the board of the EFR Alumni. This board
consists of former board members; you will be the contact person for all
EFR-alumni & both boards to smoothen communication. However, the EFR alumni
are not the only alumni you will come in contact with. Every year the EFR helps
out with the alumni of the Erasmus School of Economics by organising several
activities with them. You will not do this by yourself but together with your
committee. As Secretary / Vice-President are supervisor of the network
committee: ‘External Affairs’. This committee tries to manage and expand EFR’s
network.
If
you need even more challenge, do not worry! This function has a lot of
possibilities and freedom for new ideas. Last but not least, you will be part
of the staff of the EFR-Board, in which you will be the right hand of the
President. Sometimes you will even replace the President when she/he is absent.
Ask
yourself: do you have excellent planning, social and communicative skills? Are
you flexible, diplomatic and do you have an eye for detail? Do you have a
strategic view, taking many considerations into account? Is multitasking one of
your good qualities? Are you a team player? Then you are the right person for
Secretary / Vice-President!
