Heleen Koch

Hi everyone! My name is Heleen Koch and I am the Marketing Officer of the 58th EFR board. I am 20 years old and grew up in Eemnes, a small village in the center of The Netherlands. In my spare time I like to make music, play tennis and hang out with friends. I moved to Rotterdam three years ago to study Economics and Business Economics and became a committee member of EFR right away. I started with the START committee together with Mara and Rosalie, where we organised various fun activities for first-year students, for example a pubcrawl. During my second year, I became a member of Laurentius and was part of the Marketing Committee together with Matti. We made beautiful designs for events and made the almanac as well! Last year I was part of the EFR Master Orientation Days Committee. Here we organised several days for second- and third-year students to orientate on the different masters the Erasmus School of Economics offers. After these three years, I still could not get enough of EFR and decided to go for a fulltime board year!

As the Marketing Officer, it is my responsibility is to maintain EFR as the strong brand it is. Because of that, I am involved with almost every project we have and I have a lot of meetings with different stakeholders within and outside of EFR. On the other hand, I am supervising the Marketing Committee, which creates a lot of tools for marketing purposes and designs the almanac. Besides that, I work together with the Marketing Officers from Erasmus Recruitment and the EFR Master Career Week to brainstorm about their marketing strategies. As a Marketing Officer, I learn a lot of hard skills like various Adobe programs and designing skills besides the soft skills you learn as a board member.

If you have any questions or want to know more about my position or about EFR, don’t hesitate to contact me or come by our office for a cup of coffee!
