POSTPONED: EFR Involve consultancy project Malawi

Have you always been interested in making a social impact? And is research something you're good at and something you want to gain more experience in? Are you willing to travel to Malawi for 3 weeks to do field research? Then the Involve Consultancy Project is the project for you.
This year, the EFR Involve consultancy project will partner with African Parks by identifying high-potential projects that are beneficial for the local communities and environment in Malawi, focusing on the Majete National Park.
The research conducted by the Involve team consists of two parts. From April until the end of June, we will conduct desk research in the Netherlands. The three-month desk research will take around 8-10 hours a week. Besides this great experience, the project will give you 4 ECTS. The desk research will be followed by three weeks of field research in August in Malawi. After the research period the team will finalise the report and present it to African Parks in September.
Currently, the Involve Committee is looking for ambitious third year bachelor and master student to be part of the Involve team. Students from all backgrounds can apply for the project. The Involve consultancy committee is looking for a diverse team of researchers to make sure that different point of views are used to solve the problem.
As a team member, you will get the opportunity to improve your research, writing and other skills by trainings which will be offered to the team. Furthermore, you will be joining the Involve team to Malawi this summer to do the field research. The Majete National Park is the only national park in Malawi where the big five have taken residence. This means that besides the research, some exploring will and can be done!

The application deadline is on the 24th of March, and the interviews will take place from March 25 till April 2nd. On April 3rd, you will hear if you are selected.
