Who remembers the legendary debate between Mark Rutte and Geert Wilders during the national elections in 2017? You might not know that this debate was actually hosted by EFR. And this year the event is back!

On the 13th of march the leaders of seven popular political parties among students will go to battle for your vote in the elections of Provincial states. They will argue about several relevant social matters including migration policy and the nitrogen crisis. This national spectacle will take place in our own Erasmus Aula from 18:15 to 19:00 and will also be broadcasted live on NPO 1.

Debatants:

  • Mark Rutte (VVD)
  • Sigrid Kaag (D66)
  • Wopke Hoekstra (CDA)
  • Geert Wilders (PVV)
  • Attje Kuiken (PVDA)
  • Lilianne Marijnissen (SP)
  • Caroline van der Plas (BBB)

While all televisions in the Netherlands are turned to this political battlefield, you can attend it live in the Aula of the Erasmus University! The ticket sale will open on the 20th of February at 14:59.
Afterwards there is an open bar to contemplate which party leader came out on top while enjoying a drink.

Not an EFR member? You can still buy a ticket for this event. You will need to create a temporary (free) account on our website to buy the ticket. This can be done by clicking here.
