This year, 18 students will make a positive sustainable impact on communities in need by applying their academic knowledge. In partnership with CARE Nederland, the participants have three months of desk research and three weeks of field research in Lima, the capital of Peru, during summer.

Care Nederland is a humanitarian organization with as goal to save lives, improve rights and work on the future. The research will analyze the financial challenges and opportunities that women from low-income communities encounter with regard to gender promoting parity and enterprise development.

The desk research performed by the students will start in April. After this, the field research in Peru will take place from the end of July to half of August. After the research period in Peru, the paper will be finished and completed to present it to CARE Nederland in September. The three month desk research will take around 8 hours a week. Besides the great experience, the project will reward you with 4 ECTS.

The Involve Consultancy committee is looking for a diverse and ambitious group of third-year bachelor and master students to form the research team. Students from all backgrounds of Erasmus University Rotterdam can apply for the project, as the committee is looking for a truly diverse team of researchers.
