UPT lunch lecture: Urban and Transport Day

**This event is open for Master and Major Urban, Port and Transport Economics!
Deadline to register is June 22nd 23:59
On the 15th and 29th of June, we will organise the very first Lunch Lectures for master students of Urban, Port and Transport Economics. The lunch lecture on the 15th of June will focus on Port Economics, the one on the 29th of June on Urban & Transport Economics.

What can you expect after your thesis? What kind of companies are there and what do they have to offer? What is it like to start here as a starter? Because we know that it is difficult to find out what your role within this company could be on the basis of a website and some general information, we are organising this event.

Several companies will come and tell their story about what their company is about and what you, as a soon-to-be graduate, could mean for this company. They will give a short lecture and you will have the opportunity to ask questions. In between the lectures, there will be a break with a delicious all-inclusive lunch during which you will have the opportunity to talk to the organisations. Also after the event there is the possibility to connect in a more informal way. So it's not a formal recruitment event and we don't expect you to wear any specific clothing, just whatever you feel comfortable in. It is also completely ok if you just want to come and have a look at what the companies have to offer, it might not be the industry you want to be in at first but sometimes it can surprisingly be exactly what you are looking for in a company.

It's the perfect break for writing your thesis! Leave your reserved library space behind for two hours and come and relax while enjoying a delicious lunch! For the international students, there are some companies that accept international starters and others do not. We have added to the info of the companies whether they are open to international starters. It is therefore completely ok for these students to attend only the lectures of companies that are open to internationals. The event is completely free, all we need is your CV to give to the companies. This way, the companies can see in advance which students will be present and possibly use the information to make the presentation even more interesting for you. Below you can see which companies will be present and find the sign-up button, where you can also directly upload your CV! If you have any questions, please send a message to upt@efr.nl or send us a message on Whatsapp. See you then!
