Boer & Croon Case Solving

Will you become our new Young Executive Operations?

In collaboration with Boer & Croon, the Master Study Board for Urban, Port and Transport Economics is organising an interactive case solving! The event takes place on Thursday 23rd of March, between 13:15-16:15, in Polak 1-23. The event is open for master students enrolled in UPT Economics and Strategy Economics.

  • Boer & Croon has developed a Lean game that connects theory with practice and allows students to become acquainted with what Young Executive Operations encounter in their assignments.
  • The intention is to show that content is of course important and provides the basis for implementing changes, but that the actual realisation of changes requires another competence that Boer & Croon is particularly good at.
  • No long stories or just advice, but implementing changes on the work floor together with the people and management ensures that sustainable results are achieved.
  • The Lean game is based on a Boer & Croon assignment at a bicycle manufacturer with the aim of increasing annual production.
  • Through this game, Boer & Croon gives an insight into the life of a Young Executive Operations through role play, actually building bicycles with Knex, working together as a team, connecting theory with practice, and implementing changes as a team.
  • The best team so far had built 12 bikes, will you be able to build more bikes with your team at the end of the 3 rounds?
  • Would you like to know more about working as a Young Executive Operations? Then look at the vacancy: Young Executive Operations voor Boer & Croon | Boer & Croon (boercroon.nl)

Note that this job position is only open to Dutch-speaking graduates.
