Training & development

Bain offers you an individual, customized career path. As an Associate Consultant you'll receive an intensive 1-week training with your starter group right from the start in which you'll learn all the basics you need for your first case. After this training you will work in a project team and learn through daily collaboration with and feedback from colleagues. After ~2 months you will receive a 10-day global training in the US. Together with the other starting consultants of Bain, you will get to know the techniques of Bain worldwide. During your further Bain career, there is plenty of room for personal wishes - for example, in whether or not to do an MBA or other international opportunities.

Who are we looking for?

Working for Bain requires strong analytical and interpersonal skills. Bain consultants are trained to be strategy specialists, but remain pure generalists when it comes to industry. Specific business experience is not necessary when you start working - students from all academic backgrounds can apply for a starter position.

Internship opportunities

Besides campus events and business courses, you can also get a better idea of strategy consulting/Bain by doing an internship. An internship at Bain lasts 10 weeks. During the internship you will work as a full-fledged consultant with a Bain team; during your internship you will get the tasks of our starter position (Associate Consultant). We advise you to start at one of our starting moments (January, March, June, September and November), but we are flexible.

Starting moments

You can apply throughout the year for Associate Consultant, our starter position. There are five starting moments: January, March, June, September and November. We recommend to start the application process about three to four months before you want to start.
